St. Leo Church Farmers Market
St. Leo Church will be hosting the 6th Annual Harvest of Faith Farmers Market on September 10, 2011 from 8:30 am to 11:00 am in the church parking lot at 102nd and Blondo. There will be crafts, fruits and vegetables, canned goods, baked goods, live music, face painting and so much more. "We hope that you can join us and support our Farmers Market. Profits from the Farmers Market will go to support the Stephen Center Emergency Shelter" stated Fr. Harry Buse.
"This is one of my favorite events" commented Cindy Oelke of the Stephen Center. "I always look forward to getting some of Fr. Harry's famous chili. The Farmers Market is open to the public.
About Stephen Center
Stephen Center, Inc. has served the homeless and low-income men, women and children in Omaha since 1984. Stephen Center is the only "dry" emergency shelter in Omaha, focusing on assisting those who have made a commitment to overcome the life destroying effects of drugs and alcohol. Stephen Center operates three distinct programs: Stephen Center Emergency Shelter, Stephen Center HERO Program and Stephen Center Transitional Living Program.
About St. Leo Church
St. Leo was founded in June of 1978 to serve the families of northwest Omaha. St. Leo presently has about 1800 families. There are over 380 of our parish children attending St. Pius/St. Leo School and 345 in our religious education program. Each year around 20 people join the church through our RCIA program. Fr. Harry Buse is the pastor at St. Leo and Fr. Andy Phan is the associate pastor.
