STEPHEN CENTER RECEIVES TWO TONS OF CHICKEN
Smart Chicken and Bag ‘N Save donated two tons of chicken to the Stephen Center. “The chicken couldn’t have come at a better time.” stated Del Bomberger, Executive Director, Stephen Center. “With the exceptionally cold weather lately the shelter has been running above capacity. We have had to put mats down on the floor to accommodate all of the people needing a place to stay at night out of the cold.”
Stephen Center serves three meals a day to the guests that are staying at the shelter. The chicken will help us provide a warm and nutritious meal to our guests. We would like to thank Helene Shrago, Bag ‘N Save and Tom Ryks, Smart Chicken for this very generous gift.

Stephen Center, Inc. has served the homeless and low-income men, women and children in Omaha since 1984. Stephen Center is the only “dry” emergency shelter in Omaha, focusing on assisting those who have made a commitment to overcome the life destroying effects of drugs and alcohol.
